Five fall and winter activities for the whole family!
It is officially fall! We are all getting ready for the colder weather, the wonderful scents of cinnamon and peppermint filling the air, and spending time with those closest to us. We have asked some of the Driverseat Kitchener East staff what their favourite fall and winter activities are. Here are some of their picks!
Ishita’s pick: Visiting the botanical gardens
This time of year many of the botanical gardens have amazing displays of seasonal plants, and their arbouretum is in full colour! Making a day of it, by stopping at some local attractions, wineries, or even a farmers market on the way is a great way to enjoy all that the fall and winter has to offer.
Ying’s pick: Skating
As the weather turns colder, why not enjoy it! Heading outside for some skating is a great way to involve the whole family in some activity. Exploring your local options is great, and for the more adventurous – exploring some skating trails!
Victoria’s pick: Hiking
We are so lucky in this area we are so close to many great hiking trails. Exploring parts of the Bruce Trail, especially in the fall and early winter is absolutely stunning! Even better is when you don’t have to take care of the driving before and after your hike.
Ying’s pick: Visiting the light displays
We are very lucky in the area to have so many great winter and holiday light displays around! A favourite is the Lights on Stratford! With so many great light displays to choose from in the area, your dark winter nights will be lit up bright! Victoria’s pick: Spending a day in Toronto
Toronto during the fall and winter has a bunch of unique experiences! Christmas markets, theatre shows and ballet, running fall races, and the Santa Claus parade are just a few fun things happening in Toronto at this time of year.
