Unique Wedding Party Gift Ideas

I have great wedding party gift ideas. Wait, I should introduce myself, I’m Drew and I work at Driverseat. One of the best things about my job is connecting with people and discussing their ideas.

This year, Evonne (amazing CES – Client Experience Specialist) and I started attending the local Ring Wedding Expos in Kitchener, Guelph and Cambridge as exhibitors. Our friend Sean had been there before, but he moved to Thunder Bay to open another Driverseat Franchise. As a result, he asked us to take his place and we did. Talk about fun!

Wedding Expos

We spoke with so many of you, your families, friends, and partners. Driverseat provides shuttle transportation to hundreds of weddings each year, and each one is so different and unique. We love getting to know people, hearing their plans, stories and sharing laughs whenever possible.

One couple stood out when they brought up the challenge of “The Wedding Party Gift.” [dun dun dahhh music] Let’s just say that there were some REALLY inappropriate ideas that her maid of honor came up with. Inappropriate. The groom didn’t have a clue what to give.

As they waked away, we started talking to a client who hired us based on her experience on a wine tour to Niagara. She hired us to take her group of friends last summer.

You could almost hear the boinng! sound effect as they returned to the booth. They asked the other bride about it, heard her story and decided to take the whole wedding party on a wine tour and giving each of them an engraved wine glass instead of the traditional gift.

Someone said those gifts were a “waste of money and become trash.”

Having a great time

Just like that, an idea was born! Instead of giving gifts, give an experience – a memory! Light bulb moment. Ready for it?

Imagine taking your wedding party on a winery, brewery, distillery or pub tour, for instance. Picture you and your friends in a comfortable shuttle bus together, laughing and chatting on the road. With a our private shuttles, you can stop where you want to stop, enjoy great food and beverages with someone taking care of the driving, parking and other stuff. So, where could your imagination (and Driverseat) take you?

Other Great Ideas

  • Pick up relatives that can’t (or shouldn’t) drive so they can attend
  • Transportation from the airport for out of town guests
  • Rehearsal and party shuttle – this way everyone can enjoy themselves
  • VIP transportation on “the Day” for the couple, family members and bridal party
  • Day of the wedding hair/makeup, breakfast, axe throwing, or other pre-wedding jitter chasers

Are the wheels in your brain spinning yet? Let us know – we love to brainstorm and make these dreams a reality. When do you want to go, and where?
