Meet the Franchise Owner

My name is Stephen Bell and I am the owner of the Sarasota-based Driverseat franchise. I have recently immigrated to the US from the UK with my wife, 2 children, and 2 cats, which is a challenge for any family to face!

Emigrating during times of a global pandemic amid travel bans, embassy closures, and a whole host of other obstacles – notwithstanding the fear, health crisis, and economic uncertainty – added a little bit more excitement to the mix. Whether our plans were ambitious, bold, or just reckless, we only had a small window of opportunity to fulfill our dreams of moving to Florida, which meant that we couldn’t wait for COVID-19 to go away.

I will be writing a series of blogs to describe this exciting journey – how we moved, why we made these huge changes to our lives, thoughts, hopes, aspirations, and what we have learned so far. I will explain why I chose to buy a transportation franchise – I’m excited to be opening the business next week, starting with Airport Shuttle service to and from Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport (SRQ).
