3 of the Best Local Cafes in Kitchener-Waterloo

As the colder months arrive, there is nothing like going to a warm cafe and grabbing your favourite hot beverage and pastry. We’ve visited some popular cafes in the Kitchener-Waterloo Region and we want to share a few of our favourites with you.

1. Smile Tiger Coffee Roasters

This trendy cafe is nestled in the heart of Kitchener and is the perfect place to get cozied up with a coffee and a laptop. Their seating area options make for the ideal workstation to get your work done. Smile Tiger roasts all of their coffee in-house and it’s so delicious.

Fun fact: Their logo and business name have a cool story behind it – the duo of the tiger and the dove represents the balance between the powerful and delicate natures in coffee. They sit together in harmony!

2. Cafe Pyrus Outpost

This cafe is located right off of the Spurline Trail in Waterloo – the perfect spot to stop into after a long walk or bike ride. They’re known for their vegan and gluten-free baking and gelato.

Fun fact: All of their takeout supplies are biodegradable including containers, cups, straws, everything! Great work Cafe Pyrus.
